School Uniform

Parents are asked to ensure that all articles of clothing are of good quality and well cared for. School-bags should be of the traditional leather type.

GIRLS’ UNIFORM

BASIC ITEMS

• B.R.A. blazer
• B.R.A. beret
• Regulation blue and white checked blouse
• Regulation grey cardigan
• Plain knee length grey socks
• Plain black shoes - not patent. Boots, if worn, must be BLACK Wellingtons
• Navy gaberdine coat or waterproof
• Regulation grey pants

 P.E. KIT

• Prep. 1-7 - White canvas gym shoes
• Prep. 3-7 - White polo shirt (Prep. 3 - 3rd term only)
• Prep. 6 & 7 - Regulation maroon P.E. skirt
• Prep. 7 - Tennis racquet
• Prep. 4-7 - Plain navy one-piece swimsuit

 OPTIONAL ITEMS

• Blue and white checked dress (available from Marks & Spencer, Code No. T766429)
• Scarf and gloves in school colours
• Navy cycling shorts (available from Gordon’s and Cartmills)
• Navy sandals in summer
• Ben Madigan track tops and sports bags may be obtained through school
• White tennis skirt (Prep. 7)

Girls are not permitted to wear jewellery with school uniform (this includes studs or sleepers in pierced ears).

Girls who have long hair are required to keep it back neatly at all times.  Hair ribbons, etc., if worn, must be in school colours and plain in design.

BOYS’ UNIFORM

BASIC ITEMS

• B.R.A. blazer
• B.R.A. cap
• Ben Madigan Tie
• A white or grey shirt (on special occasions a white shirt must be worn)
• Short mid-grey worsted flannel trousers
• Grey socks - regulation socks are available
• Plain black or brown shoes. Boots, if worn, must be BLACK wellingtons
• Navy gaberdine coat or waterproof
• Regulation pullover

P.E. KIT

• Prep. 1-7 - White gym shoes
• Prep. 4-7 - Black football boots, reversible B.R.A. jersey, B.R.A. socks, navy shorts and a maroon vest
• Prep. 4-7 - Plain navy swimming trunks (not shorts)

OPTIONAL ITEMS

• Scarf and gloves in school colours
• Navy or brown sandals in summer
• Ben Madigan track tops and sports bags may be obtained through school
• Short sleeved white shirt for summer

Boys are required to keep their hair short and tidy, clear of their collar and of their eyes.  Any exaggerated hairstyles are unacceptable.
