Important School News
As we have a number of children who suffer from this dangerous allergy, please do not send nuts, or any product containing nuts, to school at any time.
Please ensure that any pupil showing even minor signs of possible ‘flu is kept at home to try to minimise the risk of infection of others.
EMERGENCY INFORMATION FORMS
These are attached for all except new pupils. Please check them for accuracy and return immediately. If there are any changes please make them in red pen for easy transfer onto computer. If there are no changes, please date the top of the form. New forms may be obtained from the office.
PARKING/DRIVING IN THE GROUNDS
Please remember that parents or other adults collecting children should not drive through the grounds at any time during the school day {8.30 a.m. - 3.30 p.m.} without prior permission. After 8.10 a.m. parents are asked not to use the car park unless they have to meet with a member of staff.
Anyone wishing to walk their child into school should use the Downview entrance
including Prep. 3 parents.

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS CARD
The card will accompany this news sheet and I hope this early notice of some dates will help your planning especially for that busy time of year at Christmas.
UNIFORM
Summer Uniform may continue to be worn until the end of September, if you wish.
Please ensure everything is named. Every year we are left with many items of un-named lost property.
Jewellery, charity wrist bands and nail polish should not be worn with uniform.
Caps/berets and blazers should be worn when entering and leaving school and a navy waterproof should be worn or carried in the schoolbag.
I am aware of the difficulty in obtaining berets at present and am addressing this. Caps are available. All girls who have a beret should continue to wear them.
APPLICATIONS FOR 2009-10
In October I will be beginning the enrolment for Prep. 1 for next year. If you have a child who is not in Pre-prep., please ensure you have submitted an application form for Prep. 1. Also, if you know of anyone else who may be interested in a place, please ask them to contact the office as soon as possible.
As Pre-prep. admission is on a ‘first come’ basis, we recommend applying at the earliest opportunity; applications for 2011/12 are already arriving.
SCHOOL DINNER ACCOUNTS
Please ensure that you send a top-up in the day after you receive a reminder so that arrears do not accumulate.
